Aston Martin DB3 Introduction

The Aston Martin DB3 and after DB3S were speeding cars built in the 1950s. Although they used some DB2 airs, they were rather other, being planed particularly for rushing. The first modifications were done by ex-Auto Union technologist, Eberan von Eberhorst, though others touched the after DB3S job.

The DB3 was introduced in 1951 with a 133 hp (99 kW) 2. 6 L Lagonda straight-6 locomotive from the DB2 Vantage. The automobile was out, so a big 2. 9 L locomotive, producing 163 hp (122 kW), was introduced for 1952.

The auto went along to set 2nd, 3rd, and fourth at Silverstone that class behind a Jaguar C-Type. The cars were drived out of Le Mans, but did take the 9-hour slipstream at Goodwood.

The DB3S was a lighter variant of the automobile, introduced in 1953. It was slightly more in, and was produced until 1956. Two coupe versions were too built.

The DB3S was replaced in 1956 by the famed DBR1, which last claimed Le Mans in 1959.
